New Delta Showerhead Advances State of the Art

A new product introduced at the 2006 Kitchen and Bath Show in Chicago demonstrates how sophisticated engineering can dramatically improve the performance of a seemingly mundane product: the showerhead. In late April, the Delta Faucet Company introduced a water-efficient showerhead with H2Okinetic Technology™ that uses only 1.6 gallons per minute (gpm; 6 lpm) at 80 pounds per square inch (psi; 550 kPa) of water pressure yet delivers a forceful, satisfying shower. This represents a 36% water savings over standard 2.5 gpm (9.5 lpm) showerheads. Reducing water use in showers saves both water and energy.
