Nexterra NSF-140-Certified Commercial Carpet Tiles

Two carpets from Beaulieu Commercial, based in Adairsville, Georgia, are among the first to be certified through NSF 140-2007e (also known simply as NSF-140), a multiple-attribute sustainability standard for building products. Developed by NSF International, this point based standard, approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has now been adopted by the carpet industry as well as the State of California. The state originally used the draft version of the standard as its gold carpet standard but now uses NSF 140’s platinum level for the same purpose. Beaulieu’s Bolyu contract and Cambridge commercial Nexterra carpet tiles both achieved platinum certification under the new standard.
