Hand Dryers From Mitsubishi, TOTO, and Dyson


Conventional electric hand dryers use heat and forced air to evaporate water off hands. They are usually noisy, consume a lot of electricity (about 2,200 watts), and can take 30 seconds or more to complete a cycle—by that time many people give up and just use paper towels or their pant legs. High-performance hand dryers consume far less energy and create air speeds of up to 400 miles per hour to blow the water off hands, typically in less than 15 seconds.
