The fourth version of BEES continues the improvements of previous versions, with better (and more) data on products and a new weighting option for combining scores from different impact categories. Although BEES still has some shortcomings, such as omissions in its calculation of an indoor air quality score, the software is a great way for designers and specifiers to understand the environmental impact of the products they are choosing. Available free online.
