This book has lots of good ideas for using scrounged and salvaged materials to build a house. It is geared towards owner-builders, but has some ideas applicable to more mainstream construction and is careful to stress safety and code compliance. This book gives us an excellent nudge toward thinking in more creative and less rigid terms about the design and construction of houses.
