This book addresses native plant use along highways. Part One provides very concise essays on native plantings, highway right-of-way management strategies, dealing with nonnative plants, etc. Part Two (the bulk of the book-about 500 pages) provides state-by-state lists of appropriate plant species, endangered species, noxious species, and key agencies. Part Three (Appendices) provides relevant regulations with discussion, plus general references, native plant organizations, and Web sites. The value of this book extends well beyond roadside applications.
