The CIWMB site includes a section on Construction and Demolition Debris and Recycling. They have compiled a variety of information on recycling construction waste. Here there are two searchable databases, one of California C&D recyclers, the other of manufacturers of recycled construction products that are available in California.

Forest Certification Resource Center
In September 1997 The Good Wood Alliance merged with the Forest Products Buyers Group to form the Certified Forest Products Council, an independent, not-for-profit, voluntary business initiative. Resources available online include various news items relating to certified wood and a Certified Forest Products Database.
Forest Stewardship Council
The FSC is a global organization that sets standards and accredits the groups that certify well-managed forests. This site is a good way to stay up-to-date with their critical efforts. This site is also a good starting point for finding producers and suppliers of certified wood. There are also several country-specific branches of the FSC, including the United States, Canada, and Sweden.
GreenSpec Directory
The latest edition of GreenSpec includes over 1,650 environmentally preferable building products carefully screened by the editors of EBN. Organized according to the 16-division CSI system, the listings include descriptions and manufacturer contact information. Guideline specifications offer specifiers a start in selecting and installing green products. GreenSpec is also available as part of a subscription to the BuildingGreen.com suite of online tools.
Guide to Resource Efficient Building Elements
The original listing of resource-efficient building materials is now available online as a free, searchable, continuously updated database. Especially strong in the area of alternatives to conventional wood products. A print version is also available.
King County Construction Recycling and Green Building Program
Kept up by the King County, Washington Department of Natural Resouces, this Web site provides free green building resources to the public. Although it is amied specifically at King and Snohomish County residents (including much discussion of the local Built Green residential rating system), most of the information is widely applicable. Especially strong is the information on job-site recycling.
The Last Straw
This site is associated with The Last Straw, a leading periodical on straw bale construction. It serves a hub for information on the Web on straw bales.
Oikos Product Directory
This database of green building products and materials is available in print or on-line. Extensive listings are updated frequently on-line and semiannually in print.
PRe Consultants
The leading source, worldwide, of life-cycle assessment databases and tools. The site has a good overview of LCA, and guidelines for designers.
Rainforest Alliance
The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of tropical forests . They pursue this mission through education, research in the social and natural sciences, and the establishment of cooperative partnerships with businesses, governments, and local peoples.
Smart Wood
Smart Wood is an international certifier of forestry operations, accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council. They have certified almost 100 operations worldwide. Their site offers detailed guidelines for certification and application forms for certification, as well as information about the program.
Sustainable Sources
Based in Austin, Texas, this site offers a wealth of resources related to green building, including a calendar of events, listings of greenbuilding professionals, and the complete Sustainable Building Sourcebook, the primary reference for the City of Austin's Green Builder Program.
