WELL v2: What’s Changed?

Lower costs and fewer prerequisites are among the biggest updates to the WELL Building Standard.

Editor's note: See here for an overview of WELL v1.

Many design and construction projects do a great job of supporting their human occupants across a spectrum of key considerations, from daylight and views to low-emitting materials and additional ventilation. However, it is rare to find a project that takes a comprehensive approach to health and wellness that includes elements such as acoustics, ergonomics, biophilia, and water quality. Enter the WELL Building Standard, one of a subset of green building frameworks that supports a comprehensive approach to occupant health and well-being. WELL has been helping our industry rethink our approach to design.
