JOSÉE LUPIEN
Josée Lupien, LEED Fellow, WELL AP and LEED AP BD+C & ID+C, has over 15 years of experience in green building industry such as LEED certification. Through the years, collaboration with architects, promotors and decision-makers has allowed her to become actively involved in greening the construction market.

In 2016, Josée Lupien, was awarded the LEED® Fellow title, the highest international award in the green building sector, by the Green Business Certification Institute (GBCI) for its exceptional involvement in the development of the green building sector.

Josée currently serves as an active member of the Third-Party Verification Technical Sub-Group for the Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC). She is also part of the CaGBC Steering Committee and a LEED faculty member.

Josée coordinates the two divisions of Vertima:
Green building projects certifications (LEED, Well, LBC etc.)
&
Building products certifications (EPD-HPD-Declare etc.)

With her exceptional involvement and years of experience, Josée is always ahead of what's happening in the green building market. She likes working closely with people and help them moving forward with better environmental practices.

GREEN BUILDING PROJECTS CERTIFICATIONS (LEED, WELL, LBC etc.)
Vertima supports the various stakeholders involved in the development of green building projects aiming a certification . The green building experts at Vertima coordinate various projects certifications such as: LEED v4, Zero Carbon, Well, HEQ, BREAAM, BOMA and others.

Through the years, the company has managed or supported the implementation of more than 100 sustainable building projects that led to excellent results. In 2018, Vertima achieved the first LEED v4 commercial project certified in Quebec.

BUILDING PRODUCTS CERTIFICATIONS (EPD-HPD-Declare etc.)
Vertima actively works as with building product manufacturers to produce HPDs, LCAs, EPDs, or other analysis that meet green building certification such as LEED v4.

As an independent third party, the company's greatest strength is the quality of its services, the integrity, transparency and professionalism of its team as trusted partners and collaborators.

In January 2018, Vertima was recognized as an approved third-party for preparing and verifying HPDs by HPD Collaborative. Vertima is one of the four firms of materials experts in North America that has received this recognition following a rigorous auditing process.

Since 2008, the company has validated environmental properties of more than 1,000 manufacturers’ products in Canada and the US.

In connections with the Green building industry and A&D needs, Vertima has developed an Environmental Data Sheet (EDS) with the Validated Eco Declaration certification.

This is an exclusive tool summarizing the overall environmental product analysis and certifications as well as its contribution to LEED v4 credits or any other Green building certification. Moreover, the EDS includes environmental information of the company such as Corporate sustainable report, take back program or ISO 14000.

The Environmental Data Sheet has become over the years a reference document for the design and specification community. Especially because they are saving lots of time by having all information in one document.
