Live Webinar - High Performance Building Assemblies – An introduction and an approach

THIS WEBINAR PURCHASE AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

Live webinar approved for 1 AIA LU and 1 GBCI CE hour. Each person intending to earn CEU credits must purchase their own seat.

Why high-performance assemblies? And why now? Today we demand better thermal performance from our building assemblies than ever. But higher performance comes at a price: Designers and builders must pay attention to hundreds of hidden components. Things like corner joints. Window flashing. Hundreds of beads of sealant and runs of tape. Poorly designed, specified, or installed details in these areas can burden building owners with moisture and mold problems... façades falling to pieces... and drafty interiors that send tenants packing — sometimes, even suing.

In this webinar, building science expert Peter Yost outlines the key principles behind high-performance assembly design. This webinar builds a comprehensive working definition of high performance for architects and then uses building science principles to integrate all of the essential elements of high performance. It also makes the case for quality of design, specification, and construction of high performance enclosures.

Presenter: Peter Yost
