Hi SD Leaders,
As you may be aware, this past April a group of manufacturers calling themselves the Living Product 50 responded to the letters that many of us sent about five years ago advocating for transparency in their product ingredients. A copy of that letter can be reviewed about midway through the page at this link: https://... Read more

I had never heard of this issue, but I was on a call the... Read more

I'm looking for a quick methodology to estimate GHG emissions from refrigerants on a per SF basis. Are there any benchmark studies or quick calculators similar to the embodied carbon study? https://carbonleadershipforum.org/embodied-carbon-benchmark-study-1/
Thanks,

I am looking for examples of police stations and fire stations that are operating at an ENERGY STAR or better level. Google searches have not provided much to go on - I found one net zero energy police station (Cincinnati Police District 3 West Side). Curiously, Justice Facilities Review write ups do not include details about energy... Read more

I'm looking into using solar shingles as a roofing option for a historic building renovation. Has anyone used them before and have any recommendations? I understand they won't be as efficient as traditional panels, but I'd like to figure out if it would be a worthwhile compromise to discuss with the historic commission, if necessary. Thanks... I've been seeing Armstrong's DC flexzone ceiling system at Greenbuild for many years. I'm working on a net zero project with LED lights and solar panels. In theory, the transmission losses in going from DC power from panels to AC for the building to DC for the lights would be eliminated. But does anyone actually have experience using this... Read more
