We are trying to find a cost-effective R-40 wall assembly for a one and two story public middle school targeting net zero energy in Oregon. Referencing Seonhee's "thermal bridging" thread in late April, I used Therm's native drawing feature, but... Read more

Dear Green Gurus: I'm so sorry to have missed seeing many of you at AIA last week. I heard the BG and COTE events were the highlights of the week! Congrats.
I'm sure by now you've heard of the dreadful Supreme Court decision about the EPA. I thought I'd share a helpful, if not sobering, perspective in an Op-Ed today in the Washington... Read more

We have used SEI in the past, but would like to develop a deeper bench and approach it from another angle. We aren’t too concerned about the consultant’s location, but are looking for someone that is on top of the current... Read more

We all know the climates are shifting, and the ASHRAE standard that gets invoked for energy codes is shifting along with them--though not in perfect sync. Louisiana is leaping from ASHRAE 90.1-2007 energy code to 2021 IECC (boom!). The 2021 IECC as published uses relatively old climate maps; for Louisiana, at least, the same as the 90.1-2007...
