Hi all -
I got this yesterday from Renew Oregon, a credible environmental NGO here in the state.
"A secretive special interest group has filed a petition at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to take “net metering” rules away from states and make it a federal issue. Net metering is the program that allows homes and... Read more

Hello SDLs!
Many of you have internal research groups or internal grants to foster thought leadership in your firms. We have run an annual research-innovation grant program for about the last 5-6 years. Anyone in our firm is allowed to apply, submit their idea, the time/budget they need, define a deliverable and then a small group... Read more

Hi All,
As of February 1, I’ll no longer be on this Forum as I don’t fit into any of the roles of SDL (yet) and I respect this space as a haven for those who do. Helping to form this network with Nellie, Jim and Nadav has been a highlight of my career. Its truly exciting to see SDL networks finally expand to other practice areas. I am... Read more

Fellow SCLers,
This is a small ball item, but I recently had a conversation with a safety glove manufacturer called Traffi. They make PPE, but in particular they have a line of gloves that they promote as carbon neutral. Their organization's operations are offset with retired RECs, but one line of their gloves, LXT, is offset by a... Read more

Hi Green Commons,
It’s been eerily quiet here since Tuesday night. I’ve been quiet mostly because I just didn’t know what to say. The election results are certainly a blow to pretty much everything we’ve been working for. There is so much we don’t know about things might play out, but I’m feeling a range of emotions ranging from... Read more

In trying to help a client write a case study on avoided carbon by using slag and flyash, I am having trouble finding a one for one equivalency that can be verified.
I have found for one pound of flyash, one pound of carbon is saved - but I can't verify that.
Appreciate the feedback!

Hi all,

Cove has come up various times, but curious if there's been any change for the better/worse in the past few years.
Do you use... Read more
