Hey Gurus:
I have a client who is interested in reporting to their superiors on the status on energy codes in different states across the US. They are hoping to find some kind of summary that might show relative costs for HVAC systems under the various energy codes in effect across states. They are also interested in data that is... We have a project looking to use Radiant Floors to help with space heating. I don't have experience with this so I'm looking for any insights. Pros / Cons?
This project is a non-profit and is needing to reach LEED Silver minimum. This is in Washington State. Thank you for your help.

Hello all,
Does anybody know of a substitute for Ecotect's solar tool? I use it to very quickly test shade options and I love how I can easily test horizontal and vertical elements, tilting and rotating them. I can have a window with the façade on one side and the sun path with the shadow mask on the other side. It is easy to use and... Read more

Hello All,

BASF says that NEOPOR uses up to 30% less material than other rigid foam; it is greenguard gold cerified.
Interesting that the NEOPOR increases in R-value as... Read more

I am now embarking on the home page design, but before I get started I need input on what you'd like to have there. The style tiles/tidbits provided by Southface includes a home page mockup that's very similar to LEEDuser, which is fine with me, but I don't want to implement it and then find out you want something radically different.

The 2018 ENR Green Building Survey is due March 16th. I'm sure you all know the metric they use to evaluate your ranking is solely the revenue from projects pursuing a green building certification in the previous calendar year. Personally, I think this totally bogus. How "green" a contractor is may correlate with how much revenue they have... Read more

Hello Community!
I often get asked about the application cases of annual vs. marginal emissions. Are you aware of an ASHRAE standard or journal article that concisely describes the use case for different CO2 eq. metrics? Has anyone reviewed ASHRAE Standard 240P: Evaluating Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Carbon Emissions in Building Design,... Read more
