Hi there SCLers,
Hope everyone is safe and healthy. I am posting on behalf of the Steeering Committee to let you know that the Committee has now adopted a Core Purpose Statement for the SCL Group. Please give it a quick read; we will likely sit with this and spend some time internalizing what it means at the upcoming Summit.

Hi Everyone,
This is quite last minute (due tonight) but please see below for an opportunity to email comments to EPA supporting national building material reuse measurement/methodology. Submission is easy, just a short email supporting C&D/reuse and any other thoughts on what to include/exclude in material pathways for reuse beyond... Read more

Hi! I hope that others who were at Islandwood found it as fulfilling as I did. (Janice and I spent the weekend exploring the island on bicycles--we're just getting on the ferry to Seattle now. It was a great little vacation!)

As we begin to look into Scope 3 emissions reduction strategies, it's important to understand ways to reduce tranportation emissions to project sites. Is anyone aware of best practices or programs for contractor carpooling to jobsites? I know many of my colleagues travel to work together in one vehicle because of parking limitations, however,... We should probably agree on the correct spelling for what we at BuildingGreen are calling "BITuser." I noticed that on the Salesforce portfolio screenshot provided by Dennis, it's spelled "BIT User."
BITuser has the advantage of more closely resembling LEEDuser, but it has the disadvantage of looking a little weird in all-caps, as in... Read more

Does anyone have a "healthy material" exterior bleacher benchtop (beyond natural wood or metal) recommendation for a public high school track and field?
How do we discern between fiberglass, recycled plastic or HPDE? Is there a rule of thumb on how to advocate for specifying a "not as bad" material?
The project is in a coastal... Read more

Hello all,
I need future weather files for a project. We are looking at three years, 2050, 2075, and 2095 using two climate change scenarios, low emissions, and high emissions. I have seen ARUP's Weathershift site that uses RCP 8.5 and RCP 4.5. Are we assuming that 2.6 is not achievable? I would have used this as a low emissions scenario... Read more

Hello all,
Any Fitwel experts out there? I have a 30,000 sf boutique hotel + spa client who would like to certify under the Fitwel rating system but Fitwel folks are telling me that no scorecard is currently available to hotel clients (can't use mulit-tenant or resi, that a hotel scorecard is under development).
