Thank you to everyone who signed on to the Materials Pledge letter. It was officially released on April 15th with 56 signatory firms. The Materials Pledge will soon have a new home online and a way to continuously add more signatory firms. I'm keeping a list for now and there are already four more firms who want to join. I will let everyone... Read more

My firm is mobilizing for a year of carbon awareness and reduction that goes beyond the energy consumption of our designs. Green Gurus,
We'd love your feedback.
The MEP group is endeavoring to make progress on integrative design. It has been long accepted that integrative design is necessary to make real progress, but a lack of stellar results demonstrates that it is easier said than done.

Hi Everyone,
Who has worked on a SITES certification and can share the approximate hours involved for administering and completing documentation? A relative sense of the effort compared to LEED would also be helpful, similar to the thread about WELL on this same subject.
Appreciate any insight. Thanks! -Hilary

Team SCL,
This was a tough week. My husband coined a phrase "20% laid off."
Unfortunately, 50% of our business is currently impacted by governmental orders stating that our work is non-essential. This is bitter-sweet. I certainly want people to be safe, but we've had to make some tough decisions and in the geographies that were... Read more

Hi all,
I am working on a Div 01 sustainability spec section for our firm to include by default on all projects. I've been finding a lot of great sample language out there for embodied carbon measures and material transparency (huge thanks to anyone here who had a part in developing those resources).
One thing I'd like to include... Read more
