You may have seen this posted to the Green Gurus forum. Paula got some good responses from architects and engineers, but not so much from GCs so she asked me to follow up and post it here. Please reach out to her if you're willing to be included in these articles/reports. Thanks!

Hi gurus,
Do any of you have preferred portable devices for indoor air quality monitoring? I know it's hard to find apples to apples, but ideally temperature, CO2, VOC, PM2.5, PM5 would be on the list. Mid-level accuracy - better than consumer, not as $ as IAQ professional level. Thanks!

Greetings, Green Gurus:
As unbelievable as it sounds, the Environmental PROTECTION Agency has launched a PR blitz in support of their "new use rule" on asbestos. So the BuildingGreen community needs to push back harder. I'm reposting the links to the letter of opposition that Mary Ann Lazarus put up last week. We definitely need more... Read more

Hi! I hope that others who were at Islandwood found it as fulfilling as I did. (Janice and I spent the weekend exploring the island on bicycles--we're just getting on the ferry to Seattle now. It was a great little vacation!)
Let's use this thread to share notes and documents from the Summit. Please post your highlights here, or send... Read more

Hi all,
I have a project where we are providing the main sustainability lead role, but are in need of an LBC sub to provide additional expertise (and fulfill a contract requirement). We all know the climates are shifting, and the ASHRAE standard that gets invoked for energy codes is shifting along with them--though not in perfect sync. Louisiana is leaping from ASHRAE 90.1-2007 energy code to 2021 IECC (boom!). The 2021 IECC as published uses relatively old climate maps; for Louisiana, at least, the same as the 90.1-2007...
