Hi All,
I just became aware of the attached detail (if I uploaded it correctly) for a project in Portland, OR going out for permit at the end of this week. Has anyone located the radiant tubing at the bottom of concrete like this before? It doesn't sit right with me, though I cannot pinpoint exactly why. Our consultants and the... Read more

Wondering if anyone has expertise in Algae Photobioreactor facades? Here is a product: https://cellparc.com/
My basic understanding is that they produce heat and biogas (as well as providing shade and some thermal value.) However, I am not clear on the GHG balance benefit, so to speak. I cannot determine if the... Read more

We aren’t too concerned about the consultant’s location, but are looking for someone that is on top of the current... Read more

Louisiana is leaping from ASHRAE 90.1-2007 energy code to 2021 IECC (boom!). The 2021 IECC as published uses relatively old climate maps; for Louisiana, at least, the same as the 90.1-2007... It has been my great pleasure to serve the AIA's COTE Top Ten review process, both as a main juror and, most recently, as one of the technical review team. I have specifically reviewed the Discovery and Energy measures for the past few years. I will be serving again on the 2021 team. The AIA has already received many more... Read more
