Hi All!
We have had a few multi-family projects consider this single package vertical unit with integrated ERV, but we haven't pulled the trigger for fear of the unknown. Our local engineers aren't sure how it actually performs and worry it may not meet code requirements for separation between exhaust and intake. Has anyone else used... Read more

Anyone aware of tools or workflows for modeling of a specific outdoor space and effective surface temperatures? We've done a goodly amoutn of microclimate simulations, but never explicitly factored in the ground surface, in terms of emissivity and other related factors.

Hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a client who's interested in estimating the embodied carbon of multiple buildings (primarily apartment buildings) they own and operate. We all know the climates are shifting, and the ASHRAE standard that gets invoked for energy codes is shifting along with them--though not in perfect sync. Louisiana is leaping from ASHRAE 90.1-2007 energy code to 2021 IECC (boom!). The 2021 IECC as published uses relatively old climate maps; for Louisiana, at least, the same as the 90.1-2007...
