Howdy all,

Following up on Emily's post (https://www.buildinggreen.com/forum/aia-2030-zero-tool-vs-cbecs-baseline) on AIA2030, the folks on the steering committee's monthly call thought it'd be a good idea to do a general call for feedback on reporting this year while the bangs and bruises are still fresh. The intent is to compile the... Read more

Hi All,

I am looking for a lifecycle analysis consultant to work on a feasibility study in New York. They should have capacity to analyze and compare various architectural, structural and mechanical components for environmental impacts, primarily GHG emissions. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that I'm no longer at Bergmeyer and have moved on to a new position at Sustainable Brands as of this week.  As a non-architect/non-designer, it's always meant so much to me how readily I was accepted into this group and how much of your knowledge and expertise you willingly shared.  As is the... Hi All,

As of February 1, I’ll no longer be on this Forum as I don’t fit into any of the roles of SDL (yet) and I respect this space as a haven for those who do.  Helping to form this network with Nellie, Jim and Nadav has been a highlight of my career. Its truly exciting to see SDL networks finally expand to other practice areas.  I am... Read more

In particular, the new template is designed for ongoing project tracking over the course of the year (rather than purely documentaion after the fact).  ... Read more

My colleague, Kira Gould, from the AIA National COTE communications committee, has a great question I am reposting here...

Hi All,

In case you haven't been following State news lately, Massachusetts has a pretty major climate bill on the Governor's desk right now.  He has through tomorrow to either sign or veto it.  There's a ton of support from the bill from advocate groups.  MA AIA and the BSA both wrote letters to the Governor in support.  This only... Our fledgling group had an organizing call last Tuesday, March 17th. Of course, it was a great conversation - the group is full of amazing people! The focus of our conversation was the goals and actions that should drive this group forward. I have a few ideas. Please share your own in this thread!

I start from the belief that we see our... Read more

We are trying to figure out how we are going to meet the LEED Credit for Building Life Cycle Impact Reduction for the first time.

One approach we're trying out: We're taking the results of our Tally model and looking at potential reductions from low-carbon concrete. However, the problem I am encountering is that when I take some of our... Read more
