Hello friends. On a current school project, an abuse resistant wall covering has been proposed as an alternative to our typical MDF wainscot. The proposed product has been used successfully in healthcare, and switching to it will save the project almost $1million, which is no small amount when the project is over budget and 7-figure cost... Friends,
This is a personal note. My son was just diagnosed with Asthma. I’m started to wonder if it’s just coincidence that this corresponded with him starting kindergarten in a school where they clean with Chlorine bleach. I found substitutes for his small preschool and at home. My understanding is that there’... Read more

We're wrapping up a multi year project that went through multiple design changes, leaving us with a ton of material samples. Does anyone know of a good place we could donate these samples to, to keep them out of the landfill. I'm in the greater Seattle area. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello,
I am struggling with understanding if I should be using Annual Marginal Emission Factors (MEF) or Annual Average Emission Factors (AEF) for evaluating different building design decisions.

Following my retirement from BuildingGreen, I’m also looking to retire from the nonprofit Resilient Design Institute, which I’ve been leading since 2012. My default plan is to sunset the organization in the fall of 2024, but I wanted to offer the idea of someone (or multiple people) taking over the organization.

My question to the... Read more
