Hi All,
Someone just told me that 80% of his previously certified Energy Star Projects no longer earn certification with the update baselines. Have any of you started digging into this yet?

It’s Summer Summit season! One of the “good problem to have” challenges we’ve had at recent SDL Summits has been too many great five-minute presentations. It’s hard to find time for them all. This year, since we’ll be online anyway, we can get a jump on that by starting the five-minute presentations early. Plus, we can share them across all the... Read more

I'm sure most (if not everyone) is aware that LEEDv5 is under public review until May 20, 2024. I know I need to make time to flip through it, review, and comment, but I'm having a heckuva time protecting the time in my calendar to do that. Anyone interested in joining me for a 60 - 90 minute meeting to do this together as an accountability... Read more

Hello everyone!
A small subgroup SCL members have been working on writing a response the presentation Wes Sullens gave us at the Summit this past winter. So every year about this time I get to spend many lovely moments with our AIA 2030 Reporting data. In order to make the data useful the CBECS baselines/National baselines aren't great in telling us how we did.

Anyone with any experience with these devices?

I am wondering how architectural firms plan to close the gap to zero in the next few years.
Owner's dictate outcomes and the typical owner is not committed to zero - even when sustainability is a focus of the project.
We can present solar-ready designs, all electric buildings, geothermal, etc. but there is still quite a gap to... Read more
