Gypsum is calcium sulfate dehydrate, which is mined or produced as a byproduct of flue gas desulphurization (FGD) from coal-fired power plants. FGD gypsum may contain trace contaminants from coal processing, but not enough to represent a hazard to users. Years ago, some imported products created indoor air quality problems that required... We have all these resources out here in the ether but it’s so hard to pull them into one spot! I was asked, last minute to join a client call today to help convince both the client (affordable housing developer) and the mechanical engineers to "stick with" a commitment to 100% electric design that was publicly stated when the competition was... Hi everyone,
We're pitching a green wall to a client for a project in NYC and are looking for recommendations on systems/companies. We've done them locally, but the company we've worked with only services the Boston area. There are so many companies out there now that we'd rather go with one that's recommended. Hello all,
Wondering if anyone has experience with lead limits in electrical cable and wiring?

Here is a fundamental question regarding measuring operational carbon emissions that I'm sure many of you can clarify for me: Let's say you are considering design options and you want to know the relative contribution of GWP of adding an additional inch of continuous insulation to the building envelope. The GWP from embodied carbon will... Read more

Hello Sustainable Construction Leaders,
It's come to our attention that although we shared the slides from last fall's all-network Show & Tell in Atlanta, we neglected to include the presentations from the SCL Summit itself. Since we believe in "better late than never," here they are!
As a reminder: we have permission from... Read more

I'm working with a project team that is looking into bird control options to prevent nesting/roosting/pooping on the scrim that is designed to scrim their building's facade. They are looking at electrified tape, repellents, laser systems, etc -- Options that don't dramatically impact the building design. The products they're looking at claim... Read more

Hi All,
Has anyone successfully adopted a Revit to ClimateStudio workflow with their new export tool? Right now we are using cove.tool because it works reasonably well with iterative Revit modeling, but are itching to try a more accurate and nuanced alternative.
Thanks for any and all experiences!
