Fort Worth Post Office Tests Green Design

The United States Postal Service has been working actively since 1993 to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, including the use of alternative-fuel vehicles, recycled and recyclable paper, and low-impact buildings. With 35,000 facilities, and 500 to 700 new ones going up each year, the USPS has an enormous building program. Dru Meadows of theGreenTeam (formerly with BSW Architects) in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been working to improve the USPS master specifications in terms of environmental impacts.
