No Lead in Vinyl Siding

I would like to clarify some misinformation contained in a letter published in

Vol. 10, No. 11. The letter’s writer asserts that while lead paint has been banned, it has been replaced “with lead from vinyl siding.”

As the Executive Director of the association representing the vinyl siding industry, I can assure your readers that there is no lead in vinyl siding. In fact, vinyl siding manufacturers have long refrained from using lead in their products.
