CRBT Merges With NCAT

This February the Center for Resourceful Building Technology in Missoula, Montana, long a leader in promoting green building practices, merged with the National Center for Appropriate Technology, headquartered in Butte, Montana. CRBT has become a project of NCAT, joining a wide family of NCAT projects that promote sustainable development, energy efficiency, affordable housing, and sustainable agriculture.

CRBT will retain its own identity, including name and logo, and offices will remain in Missoula, where several other NCAT programs are based. Current CRBT staff, including technical director Dale McCormick and research director Tracy Mumma, are expected to remain with the organization. Dale Horton, who manages the Resource Efficient Housing Program at NCAT and who is already based in Missoula, will oversee CRBT activities.
