Dupont Antron Certified Environmentally Preferable
DuPont Antron® is the first carpet fiber to be independently certified as an “environmentally preferable product.” Antron was certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) of Oakland, California, based on an environmentally preferable product (EPP) specification for carpet fiber that SCS developed. The specification includes factors such as:
•energy use and air emissions from manufacturing, compared to industry average data (the product must outperform the industry averages in all areas);
•performance characteristics in use, including compliance with standard tests for durability, stain resistance, flame resistance, and other factors; and
