Hi all,
BG WebDev needs to clarify the Forum comment moderation rules you would like us to put in place. We do not require moderation for premium users in our LEEDuser forum unless they include a link in their submitted topic or comment. In this case, we hold the publication of the comment in moderation until we can make sure the link... Read more

I'm just wondering if anyone is using GBCI's Better Materials site as their go-to source for transparency and healthy materials. Having all the search engines on one platform is great in theory, and I keep hoping that it will be the one-stop site/resource that I can get all our designers to use. Unless I'm missing something though, it still... Read more

Hello Friends,
With my "AIA 2030 Commitment Working Group" hat on, one of the efforts I have undertaken is a campaign to create a "pull" in the market, rather than (only) the sweaty "push" we all take on every day, trying to build a better world.
I believe that if we can help clients (building owners) articulate clearer... Read more

Hello, All! We haven't run WBLCA on a project that may include electrochromic glazing before, and it's embodied carbon footprint is really high in comparison to a more traditional double or triple pane IGU (we thought it would be higher, but this is 3-4x higher). The EPD we have from Sage Glass for their triple pane electrochromic lists a GWP... Read more

Hey gang,
We're working on a project that's currently designed as mass timber. We're up against some cost control efforts (of course) and the CM/Client is asking about changing some of the building to steel or green steel. We set out with a goal on the project that within the core and shell, Module A GWP emissions will be net zero.... Read more

Andrea first became familiar with BuildingGreen in 2010 when she and her husband moved to Vermont and built their own passive house from the ground up. BuildingGreen’s president Nadav Malin heard about the project and asked if the staff could take a tour, and the rest is history. She joined the BuildingGreen team part-time in 2011 to work on...
