I'm just wondering if anyone is using GBCI's Better Materials site as their go-to source for transparency and healthy materials. Having all the search engines on one platform is great in theory, and I keep hoping that it will be the one-stop site/resource that I can get all our designers to use. Unless I'm missing something though, it still... Read more

After redesigning the website for functionality and bi-monthly (instead of annual) competitions, we are launching our first of these Challenges: Daylight + Glare. Upload a graphic or three,... Unfortunately Atelier Ten swooped my latest hire from me before she started. Clearly I'm a bit biased and think it's a great opportunity for someone with a... Read more

Can anyone point me to a (dream?) resource listing effective R-values of various wall assemblies? We are trying to find a cost-effective R-40 wall assembly for a one and two story public middle school targeting net zero energy in Oregon. Referencing Seonhee's "thermal bridging" thread in late April, I used Therm's native drawing feature, but... Read more

This just in from Berkeley Earth. The definitive report on 2023 global temperatures. Lots of incredible graphs to peruse but the news is pretty incredible. Actual temperatures far surpassed predictions. "At the start of 2023, we foresaw only a 14% chance that 2023 would become a record warm year, and only a ~1% chance that 2023 would reach 1.5...
