News Brief

Ander and Maytum Designated AIA Fellows

In addition to the two honorees for whom we had advance notice, Gail Lindsey and Mike Nicklas, two other champions of sustainable design were designated “Fellows” of The American Institute of Architects at a May 18, 2001 ceremony in Denver. They are Gregg Ander of Southern California Edison, and Marsha Maytum of Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects in San Francisco. Ander is Chief Architect for Southern California Edison, author of Daylighting Performance and Design, and a leader in energy-efficient and sustainable design. Maytum was project architect for the Thoreau Center for Sustainability in the new Presidio National Park in San Francisco, and a leading advocate for sustainable design in restoration and renovation projects.
