Coastal Living Award Winners

The

Coastal Living Awards program from

Coastal Living magazine recognizes the preservation and enhancement of environmental and cultural resources along the U.S. shorelines with awards in six different categories. The winners for 1999 are:

Responsible Development/Community:

Dewees Island, South Carolina (see

EBN

Vol. 6, No. 2);

Responsible Development/Resort:

Post Ranch Inn, California;

Leadership:

Robert Davis, developer of Seaside, Florida (a pioneer New Urbanist community);

Education:

The Monterey Bay Aquarium in California;

Tourism Management:

Charleston, South Carolina; and

Contextual Design:

Lumina Station, North Carolina.
