Cradle to Cradle "C2C Home" Awards

The Roanoke Regional Housing Network is busy planning

C2C Home, an international housing design and construction competition based on the principles described in

Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way we Make Things by William McDonough, FAIA, and Michael Braungart (see book review in

EBN

Vol. 11, No. 5). Participants will compete in three categories: professional architects, individual students, and university teams. A jury, including William McDonough, Randall Stout, AIA, Daniel Libeskind, and Alexander Garvin, will select several of the submitted designs to be developed into construction documents and built in Roanoke, Virginia during the summer of 2005.
