GBA Shades of Green Award to Teresa Heinz

The Green Building Alliance awarded its Shades of Green award during Greenbuild to Teresa Heinz, chair of the Heinz Family Philanthropies and the Howard Heinz Endowment. Support from these two organizations has been instrumental in making Pittsburgh a hub of green building activity, with more LEED-certified buildings than any other city. A Pittsburgh native, Heinz is an ardent supporter of environmental causes and has long emphasized the need to align environmental and economic interests for mutual benefit.
