IREC Innovation Award Winners
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) has announced the
2003 Innovation and Special Recognition Award winners. IREC gave Innovation Awards to the
Sustainable Natural Alternative Power (SNAP) Program in Chelan County, Washington; the
Chicago Solar Partnership; and the
Utah Wind Power Campaign. IREC also granted Special Recognition Awards to three individuals:
Ward Bower is a principal member of the technical staff for PV systems and research and development at Sandia National Laboratories;
Terry Black is the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s director of the Project for Sustainable Energy Policy; and
David Warner is director of the communications office at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Details on these programs and individuals are online at
