NRDC Robert Redford Receives CNU Charter Award

The Natural Resources Defense Council

Robert Redford Building in Santa Monica, California has won a

Charter Award from the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU). The building, designed by Moule & Polyzoides Architects and Urbanists, simultaneously addresses green building and New Urbanist concerns (see

EBN

Vol. 13, No. 2 or BuildingGreen’s Case Studies Database). The project was announced as a LEED

® Platinum building at its ribbon-cutting and its platinum status is not in question, but it has yet to be formally certified pending a final ruling on additional points it is pursuing. Details about all of the winners are online at www.cnu.org.
