BuildingGreen to Assist McGraw-Hill with New Magazine

BuildingGreen, Inc., is pleased to announce an agreement with McGraw-Hill Construction through which we will provide editorial guidance and articles for an upcoming magazine called

GreenSource. In addition to content for the magazine, BuildingGreen will provide strategic consulting and information to McGraw-Hill Construction’s Web-based information portals. “Building professionals have a growing need for more information on green building products and projects, and building owners have a need to connect with architects, designers, and builders who can help them build environmentally responsible buildings,” says Jay McGraw, group publisher at McGraw-Hill Construction. “Together with the credibility and resources of BuildingGreen, we can produce a magazine and online resources that will set a new standard for information for the green building market.”

The new magazine will serve as the member publication for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and will be distributed to USGBC members and others. The inaugural issue will go out in June 2006 to about 40,000 architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors and subcontractors, building owners, and other professionals. McGraw-Hill plans to release the first issue at The American Institute of Architects’ 2006 convention and the second at USGBC’s Greenbuild conference in November. If successful,

GreenSource will grow to four or six issues in coming years.
