EBN Goes Monthly!, Weblinks, and Corrections

EBN Goes Monthly!

With this first issue of 1997 we’re excited to announce a number of changes that will, we hope, provide you with more of what you like in

EBN, and in a more accessible format. Most important, you will now receive

EBN ten times each year instead of six. That’s right, we’ll be publishing monthly, except for August and December. Each issue will be slightly shorter—16 pages instead of 20. We’ve also made some minor changes to the format that will hopefully make the content easier to navigate and digest.

Along with these changes which you’ll see, we’ve made a few others that you may not notice directly, but that should help us do our job better. First, we’ve contracted with newsletter expert Rich Luhr of Church Street Publishing, Inc. to handle our marketing efforts. We’re excited to be putting these tasks in such capable hands, so we can concentrate on what we know and love: researching and writing about the green building (r)evolution. You can learn more about Church Street Publishing by following the link to their Web site from our own.

We’re also pleased to announce that Debra Forrett has joined our in-house staff as office manager. Deb has experience as both a bank teller and a social worker, so she has just the skills we need to keep things running smoothly around here! She will be supporting Marianne in the circulation department and developing special projects. Chris Liddle, introduced in our last issue as managing editor, will instead be concentrating more on his own architecture practice, and helping us with graphics and occasional projects.

As always, we welcome your comments, criticism, and ideas about all aspects of our operation here, and we’re especially hoping for feedback on our new format. Let us know what works for you, because that’s what we’re here to provide!
