Green Guide Pilot Still Accepting Projects

Kudos to

EBN for a superb article on the greening of healthcare [Vol. 14, No. 6]. You did an excellent job of describing how these projects are bringing health concerns into green building in ways that will have important implications for the rest of the building industry.

Members of project design teams who are interested in shaping the future of green healthcare should consider participating in the Green Guide for Health Care Pilot. The online Forum is an excellent way to learn from your peers and provide your own experiences and insights to the development of the Guide. The U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Healthcare core committee is following the Green Guide Pilot closely.

There is no fee to participate in the Green Guide Pilot. We anticipate the Pilot to run until mid-year 2006. We are seeking a range of project scale, medical project type, and geographic distribution. We plan to limit registration to 100 projects but will be reviewing this based upon the progress of the projects engaged in the pilot process. More information on the Green Guide Pilot and Forum can be found at www.gghc.org.
