Where Credit Is Due

Thank you for highlighting the “Ridgehaven Building: Lean and Green for a Municipal Office Building” in the January 1997 issue of

EBN (

Vol. 6, No. 1).

I realize that space was limited, but I would like to point out that the Ridgehaven project was also a team effort. Below are the project team members who were instrumental in helping make this a successful effort.

Building Owner: City of San Diego Environmental Services Department

Design Team: Platt/Whitelaw Architects, Architect of Record; Lynn Froeschle, AIA, Environmental Consulting Architect; McParlane & Associates, Mechanical; Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Electrical; Gottfried Technology, Inc., Energy Efficiency Consultant.

Partners: San Deigo Gas and Electric, Project Facilitator; Electric Power Research Institute, Gold Partner; and Public Technology, Inc., Silver Partner.

Thanks again for your interest in the Green Building Project.

Sincerely,

Lynn Froeschle

San Diego, California

We also neglected to properly credit the designers responsible for the landmark Dewees Island development profiled in our last issue (

EBN

Vol. 6, No. 2).

The master plan was created by the Washington, D.C. office of Burt Hill Kosar Rittelmann Associates, Inc. Other contributors to the design guidelines include architects Chris Schmitt & Associates, Inc. of Charleston, South Carolina and landscape architects/planners The Brickman Group, Ltd., of Laurel, Maryland.
