Yes, Virginia, Submetering Does Help You Save Energy

Since 2011, Legrand has been installing submeters in some of its facilities in order to measure the return on investment from energy retrofits and to identify further opportunities to reduce energy use. As a result, some sites have been able to make targeted changes for large energy cost savings: a Legrand warehouse in California, for example, lowered its peak demand 57% after conducting a lighting retrofit and charging its forklifts on a timer.
