EBie Award Winners Announced for 2013

Urban Green Council recently revealed the winners of the second annual EBie awards as participants—building operators, engineers, and facility managers—walked the green carpet and made acceptance speeches. The celebration, humorously promoted as the “Oscars of sustainable building,” acknowledged the “unsung heroes” who often work behind the scenes to better the environmental performance of existing buildings.

Green building is people!

“We tell the story about the people,” said Urban Green’s executive director, Russell Unger. “We want you to know there is a building operator at the center of that project; that’s what makes this touching in a way that green building doesn’t often seem to be.”
