I am working in a Multifamily LEED Project.
The building has 75 Dwelling, Parking, Gym, Audience/Seating Area, Bar & Dinning Area, Corridor...

I would like to use Building Area Method, because if i use Space-by-Space Method, the model would have more of 700 zones by dividing each Dwelling in several areas such as bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom ...
But if i use Buiding Area Method, I can´t use specific uses for the rest of areas that are not dwelling (Gym, Audience/Seating Area, Bar & Dinning Area...)

What is the best approach that I can use in my model?

For justifiying compliance with LEED credits for a Project in Spain, can supporting documentation, management plans, etc. be in Spanish (which they need to be so they can be correctly understood and implemented), and uploaded on the credit application templates as such, or should they be translated into English so that the LEED reviewers can properly assess their content for compliance?

Dear all,
I am stuck with an error from eQUEST. We have defined the proposed building and when we want to perform the compliance analysis the baseline is not generated and the analysis is not completed due to an error:
"Table look-up failed: AS901-07 Envelope (1,5) evaluating rule: Look up and default C-CFACTOR"
and
"Table look-up failed: AS901-07 Envelope (1,4) evaluating rule: Look up and default C-FFACTOR"

We do not know what to do and if it just a problem of the baseline generator or it is something else wrong in the model.

We're working in a project trying to achieve this credit by option 3 (measurement).
Our façade is an existing curtain wall. There are two different skins. The exterior one has solar control.
Could this be considered as glare control for this credit?.
We've seem that depending on which document we are using lower limit is 10 or 25 fc. Could someone confirm which one we have to use?.

The version of Ashrae 90.1 to follow is 2007? Or do we have to change to 2010?

Also, do you know if Trnsys is an accepted software to modelling in EAc1 and EAp2?

We hace just received the preliminary review comments for a Data Center. We used the Minimum Energy Performance Data Center Calculator spreadsheet in order to define the IT Server energy and Electrical Systems Efficiency Savings, and were able to show almost 70% in energy savings mainly because of the amount of virtual machines implemented in this Data Center. One of the review comments is that the outdoor air flow rates should be identical between baseline and proposed models, not proportional, but there is a huge difference in the internal heat gains between models (because of the virtual machines in proposed model) and hence also the amount of air flow rate is also very different, so entering the same amount of outdoor air does not seem very reasonable. Any suggestions? Comments?

I am thinking of upgrading a v2009 project to V4 but I am concerned if I will meet the requirements of this prerrequisite.

The project is a retail store with a terrace at ground floor of a residential building. I can prohibit smoking in the exterior space of my terrace.

But I cannot prohibit people walking the street to smoke and they may pass by nearest than 25 feet of the entrance. Also above the retail store there are some apartments. Smoking in common areas of the building is prohibited but I cannot prohibit them to smoke in their houses or balconies.

Will I meet the requirements of this prerrequisite?

Must be the year of metering after the registration of the project or can be used a year of metering of before?

In order to comply with the alternative option we would choose to donate land to a land trust within the same EPA Level III Ecoregion identified for the project site. The land trust must adhere to the Land Trust Alliance ‘Land Trust Standards and Practices’ 2004 Revision. Is there any alternative definition for a land trust in a European context?
