Hey,

We are trying to prepare all documentation to get this credit, and we are having some difficulties due to the next consideration:

"Plan(s) and/or elevation(s) depicting the location of all materials and shading/screening devices used to comply with this credit"

Could it be possible to have any example to know which elements should be included?

Cooler and freezer storage

August 10, 2016

Hello, We are working on a project that is a combination of offices and food production. There are spaces dedicated to cold storage and we found as per PIF2 credit that we have to choose between regulary occupied space or unconditioned area, but we don't see if it fits in any of these descriptions. What should we do in this case?

Multi-occupant Spaces Vs. Patients rooms

August 9, 2016

Hi,

I´m managed a Healthcare buildings.

The reviewer advice me that workstation and share multi-occupant spaces must be reported consistently among IEQc6.1 and IEQc6.2 credits.

However, in IEQc6.1 LEED Template is necesary to differentiate between Patient Spaces, Staff Spaces and Multi-occupant Spaces. And in IEQc6.2 LEED Template is necesary to differentiate between Single-Occupant Patient Rooms, Work Spaces and Multi-occupant Spaces.

The "v2009_IEQ Space Matrix_April 2015.xlsx" excel specifies Exam rooms as Multi-occupant Spaces. In IEQc6.1 LEED Template Exam Rooms are Patients Spaces, and in IEQc6.2 LEED Template Exam Rooms are Multi-occupant Spaces.

So, the Multi-occupant Spaces are not reported consistently among IEQc6.1 and IEQc6.2 credits.

How should I proceed to meet the LEED requirements?

Thanks.

Facilities and alterations. Outside the building

August 1, 2016

There are outside works planned to be done. I understand that LEED reference guide definition is focused only in indoor alterations, mainly when talking about air quality because I don't see how can be implemented the recommended measures in a non-enclosed área. However, when talking about waste management or sustainable purchases, it may be reasonable to apply the criteria when alterations is being done, even if they are occuring in the outside área, doesn't it? And in this case, can this credit be earned by developing an IAQ management plan, even if it is not applicable to these Works?

Lead-free waterproofing floor slabs

July 19, 2016

In LEED Healthcare Reference Guide specifies lead-free roofing and flashing.

Is applicable the lead-free for PVC waterproofing floor slabs?

I understand that roofing is for roof solutions, no slabs foundations.

Thanks

Core & Shell without HVAC or electrical systems

July 13, 2016

We would like to pursue LEED Core & Shell certification for a building undergoing a major renovation. The scope of the owner´s Project includes renovation of the facade, and demolition of interior fit out and mechanical and electrical systems. But the HVAC and lighting systems will not be developed by the owner because the whole building will be leased to a single tenant, who will include HVAC and lighting systems as part of the interior fit out.
Is it possible to pursue LEED C&S certification for this building?
May the tenant lease agreement include requirements for the performance of energy consumer systems for the whole building?

July 11, 2016

Hi,

I am working on a retail project with a VAV system where zoning is performed by variable dampers controlled by thermal sensors in each different thermal zone. Is this option acceptable to meet EAc1.3 zoning and controls requirements?

Thanks

Hello! My project is in Spain. We have to put on site a decorative film on the glass. Is this in the scope of LEED EQc41? I can´t find any manufacturer that includes it in the description.
