LOCALIZATION OF STORAGE AND COLLECTION OF RECYCLABLES

April 25, 2022

Well, my answers is about the better location of the dumpsters. Our project is a boutique hotel in the historic neigtboardhood  town of spain, and the building is smaller. I can´t find in the guide reference about the quantity of dumpsters each floor need or is enough the 02 garbage room´s that we have in the basement. Because these project is smaller a we don´t have a space for to place dumpsters.

Occupant perception of building cleanliness

April 2, 2022

Hi everyone
In our building we have implemented cleaning and disinfection protocols that are being monitored by an external company with very positive results.
Working with the "Clean and disinfect your space" pilot credit, we found it very interesting to learn about the perception of the occupants of the improvement of the cleanliness of the building.
Does anyone have any data on this subject?.

Overall credit experience

As the project was already pursuing Daylight credit we have been able to use the same simulation tool for this piot credit. The project has a great façade from a daylight perspective, which helped to achieve this credit with also an appropriate interior distribution of occupied and non regularly occupied areas.

Ergonomics approach for computer users

March 18, 2022

We will submit the credit as the company had a comprehensive ergonomic assessment before the fit out was done. Also as the project is pursuing WELL certification, minimum chairs, monitors and desk requirements for comfort use of computers were already a prerequisite. We wil submit documentation with the applicable and equivalent standard in Europe and will see the response.

EQ Overview: Warehouse Quality Views requirement?

February 23, 2022

According to LEED v4 EQ Overwiew " Table 2. Rating system–specific space classifications" Quality Views credit is compulsory to achieve the rest of the category for Warehouse & Distribution Centers rating system.

Is this a correct approach or can we obtain the rest of the points of the category without achieving IEQc8?

Safety first optimized by HEALTH SAFETY RATING protocol

February 23, 2022

Hello everyone,
We are currently developing the cleaning policy to achieve the Safety First, Cleaning and disinfecting your space pilot credit and to improve the requirements, we have used HEALTH SAFETY RATING from WELL as a base for extra improvements on making your working space healthier and safer.
For example, we did include cleaning protocols like times and periods, or sustainability purchase criteria for cleaning products and materials or cleaning feedback from the building users.
We would like to know and discuss if anyone added extra to theirs Safety first: Cleaning and disinfecting your space policy and what was it.  What were the strategies or requirements you used to improve the pilot credit?

Thank you very much to everyone and hope this starts a conversation on how to make this policy as safe and useful as possible.

Designing with Nature - Green walls indoor

February 17, 2022

Currently we are working in a LEED project which we are pursuing this pilot credit of Designing with Nature, and we are wondering if green walls indoor could be one of the five strategies?

We understand that these elements could be a visual connection with nature.

Thanks in advantage.

If filtration requirement (#1b) is met, is it necessary to provide calculations for #1c?

If filtration requirement (#1b) is met, is it necessary to provide calculations for #1c?

December 23, 2021

Hi everyone! I'm pursuing this pilot credit for a LEED v4 NC office building. The ventilation system and equipment have been carefully designed, so the ventilation rates are above the minimum required by ASHRAE 62.1-2016 or later. In order to prove that, my plan is to submit the excel file with the calculations of ventilation rates. Would it be documentation enough to justify it?

And now comes my second question: if I meet the requirement #1b filtration (with air filters MERV 13 or above), do I have to submit the calculations for air changes per hour for occupied spaces? As it is an alternative option for #1b, I think I do not have to do it, but I would like to have some feedback from your experience.

Thank you!

Short-term bicycle storage

December 14, 2021

Hi,

In the office building where the occupants stay for 8 hours a day, is it necessary to have a short-term parking lot for bicycles? Or does it already work with the long-term parking?

Thank you

Designing with Nature - Wooden indoor vertical finishes

December 9, 2021

Currently we are working in a LEED project which we are pursuing this pilot credit of Designing with Nature, and we are wondering if natural wood vertical finishes on main indoor common areas could be one of the five strategies?

We understand that these elements could be a connection with nature as textured materials, to create a distinct sense of place through natural materials.

Thanks in advantage.
